He is the founder of TanzaBugz, an initiative focused on BSF farming, organic waste recycling, technical consultancy and waste-to-value solutions.

Amiri holds a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) and has further professional training in crop advisory and agribusiness. His professional interests lie at the intersection of agriculture, organic waste management and circular economy, with a focus on nutrient cycling, soil fertility, sustainable food systems and locally appropriate resource-recovery solutions.

Amiri is passionate about bridging technical knowledge and practical implementation, particularly by developing solutions that enable farmers and communities to transform locally available resources into productive, economically viable and environmentally sustainable opportunities.
